Nagihan Kara

Investment Director

He was born in Karaman in 1982 as the second of four sisters. As the child of a farmer father, he spent his adolescence in a small village stealing green almonds from apricot trees, collecting sunflower seeds on top of a tractor and bleeding his knees on dusty roads. He was also always the leading role in neighborhood fights while growing up. He completed his primary and secondary education in Karaman. He graduated from Niğde University Dairy and Products Technology in 2004 and opened the doors of his first work experience by starting to work in the food sector. His professional career evolved into the service sector in the last quarter of 2005 and he had the opportunity to be one of Turkey's first consultants in the field of Investment and Project Consultancy. He completed the first 2 years of his 5-year work experience in this sector as a Quality Management Systems and Certification Coordinator and the next 3 years as an Investment Services Project Specialist and ended his white-collar employee title. In 2010, with the understanding of “being on my own two feet”, he opened a consultancy office to mediate new and sustainable ideas in the public and private sectors and became his own employee. During this period, he completed his undergraduate education in the Department of International Relations at Anadolu University and took active roles in projects that were supported by the European Union and the World Bank, and he still does. His understanding of success is still based on the principle of “Being Different Among Distinguished People”.

Çağla Kalkan

International Business Development Director

He was born in Üsküdar in 1991. His mother and father were shopkeepers and he grew up in a neighborhood culture. He learned to count at the cash register. He graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Political Science and International Relations. While studying at university, he had the opportunity to travel the USA with a 4-month Work and Travel. He toured Europe for 1 month after graduation. He studied Russian for a year in Minsk, Belarus, and started working in the private sector in Turkey. The 10-year-old producer ran for every job in small and medium-sized companies. During this period, he completed his master's degree in European and International Relations at the Turkish-German University. During his master's degree, he visited the European Union institutions in Brussels and Berlin with a two-week plan and had the opportunity to gain a different perspective. He transferred to a corporate company and decided to start his own business because he was disturbed by the inefficiency of corporate life. Simya Consulting's paths crossed during this process. Thanks to the digital skills acquired by the companies, he collaborates with companies to find customers quickly.
