The People Behind Simya
Nagihan Kara
Investment Director
"Standing out among those who already stand out."
Born in 1982 in Karaman, Turkey, Nagihan Kara grew up in a rural environment that shaped her resilience, independence, and work ethic from an early age. After completing her education in Dairy Technology, she began her professional career in the food industry before transitioning into the services sector.
By 2005, she became one of the early professionals in Turkey’s Investment and Project Advisory field. Over five years, she worked extensively in Quality Management Systems, Certification, and Investment Services—gaining first-hand experience across both public and private sectors.
In 2010, driven by the belief in building sustainable value independently, she founded her own consultancy to support innovative projects and investments. During this period, she completed her degree in International Relations, actively contributing to projects funded by the European Union and the World Bank—roles she continues to hold today.
Her professional philosophy remains rooted in a simple principle:

Çağla Kalkan
Director of International Business Development
"A global vision must be sincere."
Born in 1991 in Istanbul, Çağla Kalkan grew up in a family-run business environment, gaining early exposure to commerce and customer relations. She graduated from Boğaziçi University with a degree in Political Science and International Relations.
During her studies, she participated in a Work & Travel program in the United States, followed by extended travel across Europe. She later spent a year in Minsk, Belarus, studying Russian before returning to Turkey to work in the private sector.
Over a decade, she worked closely with small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, gaining hands-on experience across operations, sales, and international markets. She completed her master’s degree in European and International Relations at the Turkish-German University, including study visits to EU institutions in Brussels and Berlin.
After experiencing the inefficiencies of corporate structures firsthand, she chose to pursue an independent path. Her journey eventually converged with Simya Consulting, where she now leverages her international background and digital capabilities to help companies access global markets and generate qualified business opportunities efficiently.
